it had been four hours since i had last seen the mischievous beings, i had followed the broken branches and the small amount of footprints that they had left behind, which were few and far between. they are always so very careful about not leaving tracks. i walked up to the edge of a ravine to see a river of clear water rolling towards me. the water flowed so softly over the rocks, and crushed others. i think of the things that use to make me happy, and the things that use to fill me with fear. i use to be afraid of conversations that might drastically alter my life, i use to be afraid of what you thought of me. i was afraid of the little things that loomed over my head. the river feels like it's coming towards me, ready to wash me away.
the feelings slowly pass and i cross the river and keep walking.
lyrics
from the hillside
i can see
your river slowly moving towards me
the anxiety, encroaching
slow
but always moving
do you hate me?
or am i just paranoid?
do you love me?
or is that a question that i should avoid?
and i could feel it
in the air
the oxygen slowly leaving
and i know that you're right here
is that suppose to be comforting?
do you hate me?
or am i just paranoid?
do you love?
or is that a question that i should avoid?
and you said to me
that i want to count your teeth
